FAQs DS-Micro
| Q. We have 1 operator and 3 channels
at the moment. What is the minimum configuration of the Micro please? |
| A. The minimum configuration is 2
cards (4 ports). This is exactly what you need for your present size of
operation |
| |
| Q. We are a shopping mall and have 2
operators and 5 channels at the moment. We are using your Micro-8. Is this
investment wasted when we add 2 more channels in late 2006? |
| A. No, the DS-32 uses exactly the
same cards as the DS-Micro. When you order please make sure we know this and
we will supply the DS-32 case plus one card and fit your existing cards. It
is our design aim to reduce upgrade costs. |

| Q. I am security chief at a shopping
mall. We need to go to a system which provides alarm calls, voice recording,
and multiple operator access to multiple channels. Will your Micro-8 do
this? |
| A. It depends on your number of
channels and operators. The Micro-8 will provide all the functionality you
seek, but is fully expanded at 8 ports. This can be 1 operator and 7
channels, to 7 operators and 1 channel. After 8 ports, you will need to look
at our DS-32 (32 port device). If the Micro is suitable for your present
requirement, then upgrade is made less expensive by re-using the cards from
your Micro-8 system. |
